Why this works

An Irish course to teach you how to actually speak

Small group. Real attention.

Maximum 20 students in the live cohort. Jane knows your name and hears your voice every week. You won't get lost in a crowd or left behind.

Speaking from session one.

No passive listening. Every Tuesday you speak Irish. Grammar is explained when it's needed, in context, not in advance. That's the whole point.

A teacher who grew up speaking Irish.

Jane grew up in the Gaeltacht. She didn't just study Irish, she grew up surrounded by the language and culture.

Songs, poems and proverbs.

You'll learn songs in Irish, use poems to practise pronunciation and pick up 10 proverbs along the way.

"Jane is a phenomenal teacher. She is warm and friendly and puts me at ease, which encourages me to speak as much Irish as possible. She listens carefully to what I say and takes notes, using my mistakes as opportunities to teach me a new grammar point or nuance of vocabulary. Classes with Jane are so much fun and I learn so much every time."

Questions

A few things people ask

Do I need to have Irish already?

Not at all. Level 1 is designed for complete beginners and people returning after a long gap. You need nothing except a willingness to speak.

I'm nervous about speaking. Is that okay?

Yes everyone is at the start. Jane's job is to make the room feel safe enough that you forget to be nervous. It usually takes about two weeks.

What if I miss a Tuesday class?

Jane asks that you come to as many sessions as possible, that's where the real progress happens. If you miss one, you'll still get the vocabulary notes and WhatsApp voice challenge for that week.

Can I upgrade from self-paced to live during the course?

No, live places are limited and allocated at enrolment.

What happens after Level 1?

Level 2 launches in January 2027. Students who complete Level 1 get priority booking.
